What is Line Filtering

Line filtering is a text processing technique that selectively removes or preserves lines from text based on specific search criteria. It allows you to filter content by checking if text appears anywhere in a line, at the beginning, at the end, or with case-sensitive/insensitive matching. This is essential for data cleaning, log analysis, content extraction, and text processing tasks where you need to isolate or remove specific lines.

What is Online Line Filter

An online line filter is a web-based tool that allows you to filter text lines based on search criteria without downloading software. It provides flexible options for text matching including position requirements (beginning/end of line), case sensitivity control, and the choice to either remove matching lines or preserve only the matching lines for focused content extraction.

How to Filter Lines

Paste your text content into the input area, choose whether to remove or preserve lines that meet your criteria, enter the text to search for in each line, optionally specify position requirements (beginning/end of line) and case sensitivity, and the tool will automatically filter the lines according to your settings. Empty search text will return the original text unchanged.
